Purported Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra camera sample looks ultra-interesting

As 2022 draws to a close, 2023 cellphones will soon be seen in the real world. The Galaxy S23 series, whose models are expected to be early competitors for the finest Android phones of the coming year, is one of the most anticipated debuts. One of the most compelling theories going around is that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have an extreme camera upgrade. We've heard a few claims involving internal specifications as well as radical changes in external design (or a lack thereof). We may actually be in for a significant update if the camera sample going around is legitimate. We can already learn a few things from a camera sample that business insider Ice Universe purports to be a Galaxy S23 Ultra's that he posted on the Chinese social media platform Weibo (via SamMobile). This is especially true considering that the image was posted next to similar shots taken by the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Google Pixel 7 Pro. The S23 Ultra's camera does a better job of capturing the pumpkin...

The Dynamic Island gets a small but important change in the latest iOS 16.2 Beta

On this year's iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, the Dynamic Island is undoubtedly the best new feature. Next year, all four iPhone 15 models will reportedly have the multitasking notification panel that can change shapes and positions to replace the notch. It's a real achievement for Apple that it was able to take the contentious notch and make something spectacular out of it. The Dynamic Island has seen a minor update by Apple in the most recent iOS 16.2 Beta. Only two icons could fit on the iPhone 14 Pro status bar in earlier iterations of iOS 16 due to the width of the Dynamic Island. These were either the Wi-Fi logo or the bars that indicated the strength of the cellular signal, together with the battery indicator (with the amount of battery life left). In the most recent iOS 16.2 Beta, Apple has made a minor adjustment to the Dynamic Island. Only two icons could be displayed on the status bar of the iPhone 14 Pro in earlier iterations of iOS 16 due to the width...

Microsoft now rolling out iCloud Photos integration with Windows 11 for users

Microsoft said last month that it is collaborating with Apple to make the Apple TV and Apple Music apps available on Windows-based computers. More than that, the business hinted of iCloud Photos being integrated into the native Photos app on Windows 11. Now that it has been implemented, Windows users can use this integration. The Verge reports that the upgrade for Windows 11's Photos app with iCloud Photos integration is now accessible. Users must install iCloud for Windows, which is also available on the Microsoft Store, after updating the app through the Microsoft Store in order to get everything up and running. After that, simply allow the photo library sync in the iCloud app by logging in with your Apple ID. As a consequence, the Windows Photos app should instantly display all of your iCloud-stored pictures and videos. This represents a significant advancement in the user experience for consumers who use both Apple devices and Windows PCs. Even while iCloud Photos was already ...

The sole difference between our review unit and the one on the market is that our review unit's CPU runs at a little faster clock speed (4.6 GHz vs 4.4 GHz). The Zephyrus received high mark...

Hozier on His New Song for God of War: Ragnarök, “Blood Upon the Snow”: Exclusive

The anticipation for the latest entry of the hit video game franchise, God of War: Ragnarök (coming November 9th on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4), has been building. It is not just the first new God of War game in four years, but it also signals the conclusion of the "Norse" trilogy, which is based on Norse mythology and features protagonist Kratos and his teenage son, Atreus. As exciting as the new God of War is for fans, there's something unique about this release: Irish singer and songwriter Hozier has collaborated with the game's composer, Bear McCreary, on a new song to accompany the official Ragnarök soundtrack, which will be released on the same day as the game. The song, titled "Blood Upon the Snow," is a daring, epic number that hits all of God of War: Ragnarök's thematic notes, and finds Hozier using his distinctive velvety tone to conjure both tenderness and wonder. Hozier has had a difficult couple years, having released his sophomore LP,...

Sonic Frontiers Review: Delightful When It's Fast, Disappointing When It Slows Down

In this adventure game, Sega's renowned blue hedgehog sprints towards a new era, but encounters a few speed bumps along the way. Sonic the Hedgehog's 2D video game adventures are well-known, but the Sega mascot's 3D entries have been so inconsistent that they inspired the infamous Sonic Cycle meme: when a new game is announced, we are filled with excitement, only to be disappointed when we play the disappointing final product. Sonic Frontiers looked fantastic, which piqued our interest even more because it implied that our hero would be speeding and leaping around large open expanses, which some of us had hoped for since the '90s. And the game, which will be released on Tuesday for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, just sings while you're zipping around its enormous open zones. Running, jumping, and grinding between objectives on PS5 was frequently a pleasurable experience. (In the menu, I recommend going from 4K visuals to 60 FP...

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Spoilers Have Begun to Leak

We have a warning for all of you trainers out there excited to go to the Paldea region — spoilers for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have unfortunately begun to leak. As reported by  VGC,  the leaks arrive just over a week before Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's November 18 release date. IGN won't be sharing any of them, but we wanted to warn all of you out there to be careful on social media and beyond. It appears that the first leaked screenshots began to arrive on social media on Sunday, and they look to include never-before-seen Pokémon. The leaks may originate from a Spanish-speaking country as the screenshots have Spanish dialogue on them. It doesn't seem as though the game is in very many hands as of yet, but the danger or broken street dates and early copies gets greater each and every day, as it did for God of War and Sonic Frontiers and so many more. Pokemon has also had a few unfortunate leaks over the years, including for Pokemon Sword and S...

Apple’s Next Change for Siri: Dropping ‘Hey’ From ‘Hey Siri’ Trigger

Today, the cue "Hey Siri" is frequently the quickest method to open Siri on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and HomePod. Apple is now attempting to simplify the procedure. The business is working on removing the "Hey" from the trigger phrase so that users only have to say "Siri"—along with a command. While this may appear to be a little modification, it is a technological problem that necessitates extensive AI training and underlying engineering development. Apple has been working on the update for some months and, if everything goes well, plans to implement it next year or the year following. The corporation has been testing the streamlined wake word on staff and gathering training data. Siri's complexity comes from her ability to grasp the sole term "Siri" in a variety of accents and dialects. The presence of two words—"Hey Siri"—increases the likelihood of the system correctly detecting the signal. Apple has also been workin...

AMD confirms RX 7900 XTX is RTX 4080 competitor, FSR3 may be supported by pre-RDNA3 architectures

After the RDNA3 event, one of the most often asked questions was why AMD didn't compare their RX 7900 series with GeForce RTX 40 GPUs. Frank Azor of AMD offered the response (Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions & Marketing). He stated that the RX 7900 series will compete with the RTX 4080 series, and that AMD lacked the necessary data to enter this card into official charts because NVIDIA had not yet released it. [Radeon RX 7900 XTX] is intended to compete with 4080, although 4080 doesn't have any benchmark results. The main cause of why you didn't see any NVIDIA comparisons is that. […] This $999 card is a 4080 competitor rather than a 4090 competitor, which costs 60% more. PCWorld was also curious to learn more about AMD's next-generation upscaling technology, FSR3. During the RDNA3 showcase, the news was released. AMD stated that this technology will be released in 2023, however no details regarding timing or GPU support were provided. The community's next b...

Replit’s Ghostwriter AI can explain programs to you—or help write them

Replit today unveiled Ghostwriter, a programming helper powered by AI that can offer advice to make coding simpler. It operates within Replit's online development environment and has a similar capacity to GitHub Copilot's code recognition and composition in order to quicken the development process. Replit claims that Ghostwriter operates by utilizing a sizable language model trained on millions of lines of freely accessible code. As you program in Replit's IDE, Ghostwriter can provide ideas based on the text you've already typed. By using the Tab key when you see a suggestion you like, you can "autocomplete" the code. Replit claims that although Ghostwriter supports 16 languages, including C, Java, Perl, Python, and Ruby, it works best with JavaScript and Python. Additionally, it supports SQL for database queries as well as HTML and CSS for web creation. The four primary parts of Ghostwriter are Complete Code (which evaluates your writing and offers extensions...
